How to get one million coins in New super mario bros 2

Thanks to IGN i have the strategy to get ONE MILLION COINS!

At first, the task of gathering 1 MILLION COINS!!!! can seem a bit daunting.  But, turns out it's not nearly as hard as you might think.

There are two main places that make it a little easier to grind coins, provided you have the patience and/or lack of anything better to do.

Best Area

World 2 - 4 - This level has a golden flower provided, if you can time your jump right.  Get it, and go to the area where the second star is, then go down the pipe.

You will be in an area with two pipes that spit out goombas.  Wait until there are as many as possible on the screen, and then proceed to jump on the one at a time.  Eventually you will get 50 coins per goomba.

Here's a breakdown of the stats:

Appx. 8000 coins every 5-8 minutes

Appx. 160,000 coins per hour

6.5 hours = 1,000,000 coins
